Day 5: Heavy Metal Tour – Solution

What is the puzzle setup?
A single P.E.K.K.A. is walking down the left lane toward your 1 HP Princess Tower. You only have a Firecracker — you can’t out-damage her, so you have to make your towers do the killing.

Step 1 — Wait for the bridge
Let the P.E.K.K.A. cross the bridge before placing anything. Her position then decides which “nearest target” she commits to.

Step 2 — Firecracker placement
Place the Firecracker on the centre line, about 3 tiles below the river. She is equidistant from both Princess Towers from there, which is what makes the side-to-side kiting work.

Step 3 — The kite
The Firecracker shoots and recoils backwards. The P.E.K.K.A. walks toward her, then turns toward the other tower, then back again. Every direction change walks her through BOTH Princess Towers’ ranges, so the towers do all the damage while she never connects with anything.

What are the most common mistakes?
- Placing the Firecracker too close to one tower, so the P.E.K.K.A. reaches that tower instead of being kited.
- Placing the Firecracker too far back, so the P.E.K.K.A. ignores the bait and keeps walking.
