How to Play Clash Royale Daily Puzzle

Daily Puzzles are a new featured event mode in Clash Royale Season 89. Each day, a fixed puzzle is presented that tests your knowledge of card interactions and placement.

Before you place a card

What are the rules?

  • Fixed Hand: You are given a tiny fixed hand of 1–4 cards. You can only use the cards provided.
  • Provided Cards: You don't need to own the cards; they are provided for the puzzle at a fixed level.
  • Health Constraints: In many puzzles, your Princess Towers start with only 1 HP. A single hit from any enemy unit means failure.
  • Objectives: Some puzzles are pure defense (don't let the enemy touch your tower), while others require you to take down a 1 HP enemy tower with your limited resources.

Golf, but for placement

What is "Par"?

Par is the target number of attempts for the puzzle, similar to golf. While there is no penalty for going over Par, finishing "in 1" (on your first try) is the ultimate goal.

Are there rewards?

The first set of Daily Puzzles ran as an educational event. While there were no direct material rewards like gold or chests, the mode provides invaluable practice for advanced card interactions and placements. Treat any future set's rewards as unconfirmed until announced by Supercell.

What are the common mistakes?

  • Playing too late: Timing is critical. If a card is meant to kite an enemy, placing it a split-second late can lead to the enemy ignoring it.
  • Placing outside the spell circle: Especially in Graveyard defense, being even one tile off can allow Skeletons to bypass your defenders.
  • Attacking when the objective is defense: Focus on the mission. If the objective is to protect your 1 HP tower, don't waste elixir trying to attack the enemy.
  • Wasting cards: You have a very limited hand. Using the wrong card on the wrong target often makes the puzzle unsolvable.
