How Graveyard Spawn Points Work
The Graveyard spell is often seen as random, but in Clash Royale, it actually spawns Skeletons at fixed points within its circle over its duration. Knowing these points allows for surgical defense.
Why it works
How does the mechanism work?
Because the spawn points are fixed and the Skeletons will always attack the nearest target (unit or building), you can manipulate their aggro. By placing durable units inside the circle next to your tower, you ensure the Skeletons target your troops instead of your fragile 1 HP tower.
The classic fail
Why is one unit not enough?
Skeletons spawn on all sides of the tower within the circle. If you only place one unit, Skeletons spawning on the opposite side of the tower will still target the tower because it is closer to them than your unit is.
Placement checklist
What are the key placement rules?
- Inside the Circle: Both units must be INSIDE the spell circle. If they are outside, Skeletons can spawn between them and the tower.
- Timing: Drop your defenders exactly as the Graveyard lands to ensure they are present for the very first skeleton spawn.
- Coverage: Place units on opposite sides of the tower to cover all possible spawn points.
Worked Example: Day 6
In the "Dynamic Duo" puzzle, we use the Bandit and Royal Ghost to cover both sides of the tower.
